These Names will not resolve in the current DNS for a short time. The
Registry (Verisign) will not be putting these ML names into the Root Zone
File until phase III of this multilingual testbed. For now all these names
are on "Registry Hold" meaning that the registration is complete but no zone
file or not names servers can be created from these names yet. I will have
more information about phase III and what needs to get done for these names
to resolve when I get back from the ICANN meetings next week.

Cheers,

James

Subject: Multilingual DNS configuration

Hello everybody

I just registered a domain name in simplified chinese characters through
the live interface and everything went on smoothly. However, how do I
configure my DNS servers to resolve these multilingual domain names?

As far as I know, our current install of Bind 8 only allows for english
based domain names...

Many thanks
