I have a customer who would like to register a few .ca domain
names. However, a CIRA whois lookup shows two of these domains in
"reserved" status. I'm using http://www.cira.ca/cira/public?LANGUE=en for
the lookups, and result is:

"Domain xxxxxxxxx.ca is not available.
  01252 Domain name is reserved."

I've looked up the same domains in the old CdnNet search at
http://www.cdnnet.ca/search.html but no previous/current entries are listed
for these two domains, as-is, nor under provincial sub-domains. I don't
think they are geographic/city names.

So why are they reserved? How can we find out if they are, or will be,
available for registration, either now, or upon expiration of the holding
period for previous owners until Jan 31/2001?

What do I tell the customer? Are the domains available, or will they be
available? Who can I ask?

Many thanks.

Doug
