sql and nameserver

hi,

not a opensrs-related question but maybe nevertheless interesting:

is there somewhere a (my)SQL-based nameserver out that, lets say, checks every 15 
minutes for updates in the DB and loads them?
it would be much more easy to modify the ns-records in a DB instead of parsing files.. 
especially for webinterfaces coded in php.
