is this to imply there are mechanisms that irresponsibly subvert the DNS? I think Ross you missed the boat on root service. I have repeatedly over the years advised tucows to get in on the act. but you haven't and now i think it's a little late to start that show. right now i think tucows still has the leverage to co-ordinate the existing roots - but wait another year and your ability to facilitate that will also become irrelevant. things are happening ross - outside the icann shinking ship of state. Joe Simms visited the EU recently. Poor Joe is a bit late - i've been there already. If you want to have tucows lead the roots you gotta do it now. However if you sit on your ass you'll be last in class. regards joe > > -rwr > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Charles Daminato" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: "Marc Schneiders" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Cc: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Tuesday, February 19, 2002 9:09 PM > Subject: Re: openROOT.org > > > > Created the same day as opensrs.org; by (if I recall) Ross Rader - he'd > > have to give the official details on that though :) > > > > Charles Daminato > > TUCOWS Product Manager > > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > > On Wed, 20 Feb 2002, Marc Schneiders wrote: > > > > > Just came upon this: openroot.com/net/org and, yes, info are registered > by > > > Tucows.
