Scripts and or just in the reseller area (rr-)  If I were a good enough programmer I would do it, but I am in "Get By" mode with CGI ;)

Hi, I would have to agree with Mike. This does make quite a bit of sense. If it is not possible, will there be scripts publicly available that will allow us to lock all domains ?

Best Regards,

Subject: Domain Lock

Hi All,

I know someone has mentioned this but I would like to see a positive response from SRS and a quick upgrade to the OpenSRS Login (rr-n1)  PLEASE! Add the function to allow us to lock all current domains that are registered through our business. I am sure many re-sellers would be very happy to get this added quickly. That would help us make our customers aware of the misleading bills coming from all these companies to transfer away.

Here is my thinking:

1.) Lock all registered domains (That have the locking ability)
2.) When the transfer fails because it is LOCKED, we would like to get a letter saying it was not transferred (Failed) and who was trying to gain control of the domain so that we can call our customer on the phone that same day and make sure that they understand what they are doing. If they say they DO want to move from us, then we just un-lock it and send it on it's way...

Some guys may not want to go that extra mile of calling the same day, but we will do it. We want to let our customers know that their are some scams lurking and make sure they are not falling victim to one.

Is their anything un-ethical to this idea or illegal?  It would even be nice to have a list of all domains locked so that we can then send them a quick e-mail stating that we locked their domain for their protection and explain why as Scott mention in a system announcement. I think this would really benefit the resellers as much as OpenSRS!

Thanks all.. (Scott ;)
