You don't get it. 1. There's no good use for HTML email, but spammers use it frequently. By rejecting HTML we can eliminate between 50% - 80% of all spam right-away and almost never reject a legitimate email. 2. Personally, I do not want to get bloated size emails, just because somebody thinks this is nice. There's NO good reason to send out an HTML newsletter. If you want to offer an HTML newsletter it's easy to provide one: on a website. I didn't want to discuss this, it's OT here, so I just wrote "It doesn't work like this ;-)". I only added the above because some seem to have misunderstood my comment.
