Oops, scratch that.  There is a button of the right side of the order form screen that 
can be used to remove the costs for the additional year(s).  It does appear that you 
can get an additional year for free.  (Thanks Winston)

I agree with George though.  Working with anything Verisign always tends to raise my 
blood pressure a point or two.  No thanks.
