The first contract he had them sign was so bad (for ICANN) that they had to re-do it (which is why Verisign got to pick the terms and ICANN couldn't do a thing about it.

You would think that Joe Sims would have been given the boot when that happened, but, no, he actually got to draft the REPLACEMENT contract as well. And got paid BOTH TIMES.
