If it's not a product yet I don't understand that Tucows is going to run a "special promotion for Blogware resellers". Either it's available for sale or not.
It is definitely a product and for sale. It's just part of the NSE program.
My group runs the NSE program. Services that go through this loop are ones where we have details to sort out that we need extended feedback on. Blogware has some pretty heavy private labelling requirements that we want to get right, so we figured the best way to sort out those details before we offer it formally to the entire channel would be to have a heavy core of resellers beat the crap out of it. The program is available to all resellers and I'd be happy to sign anyone up as a participant if they go to http://nse.r.tucows.com/enroll and fill out the online application.
So, the long answer to the short question is that its a service, its for sale, but only to participants in this program. Its also worthwhile to note that we've lifted the NDA for this particular NSE, so its fair play to yak about. But also that I'd prefer that we limit discussion to the NSE newsgroups simply to make sure that we capture all of the important feedback.
The reason for the promotion is also simple. The value of the feedback that we're getting is limited in nature because not all resellers in the program have gone live. This is just a small incentive to go live and start reporting back to the mother-ship with problems and suggestions...
