Echo's reps also had a hard time understanding that charges might vary
from month to month, or more importantly, might be unpredictable at
the start of a month.  They really insisted on a merchandise sort of
model, where you have an item with a ticket price and a customer pays
that specific price in advance and that's it.  That was odd
considering that they claimed to deal with a lot of ISPs.

Echo's reps are for the most part brain dead but there are a few that know what they are talking about. Support vie email and the website is much better. I have a couple of clients using echo for ecommerce and they have been pretty happy.
