Hopefully this is a sign of good things to come from VeriSign -- realizing that Tucows/OpenSRS is the best place to put domains, over even their 15%-owned Network Solutions. Perhaps their DBMS group will be anti-WLS and anti-SiteFinder too? :)
And perhaps their dbms group is fairly autonomous, having little pull with the higher-ups. Why in the world would management allow a business unit to use a competitor for a core service like domain registration???
I tried to get this discussion going several weeks ago when I pointed out that AEXP.com (American Express) also uses Tucows via DBMS Verisign. Any other good examples?
