Geotrust does offer a "personal certificate" (my credentials)
for email use but there are a few challenges with it:

1-The cost is high, about $20/year retail
2-The coverage with email clients is not as robust as I'd like
(only Microsoft Outlook, Express, Lotus Notes and Netscape Messenger)

I have been keeping my eye on the demand for this (which has
been low so far) and once some of these challenges are overcome
I would evaluate it's inclusion into the portfolio.

I would love to know who'd be interested in it,
what mail clients it should support, and the price points
that would make sense for your customers.

Thoughts?

I haven't seen this either but it sure would be nice to be able to sell
email certs via Tucows.

Thawte has a web of trust program for Email identity certs.

CA Cert is also a free community CA that has a similar program, but
their certificate is not yet included in CA lists.
