As far as I could tell while broadcasting, it seemed to go fine, although I got the impression that the outgoing video was fuzzy and jerky. I haven't had a chance yet to watch the results on youtube.
For this first experiment, I was streaming directly from my laptop, which runs ubuntu 14.04. For comparison, I plan to stream the meeting from a Windows VM on my laptop, to determine if the webcam works better under Windows. In the meantime, I'm continuing to record the meetings with the regular camcorder. The webcam seems to work great for live-streaming, but if I decided that the video and/or audio quality is too low for archival purposes, then it will make sense going forward to continue recording with both cameras.
