Developers are reading this list I suppose, but you can file a bug,
too. Let's see, if they follow up here in the next few days.

I disagree. Hunspell, hyphen and mythes are generic libraries (and
they are not OOo-specific). They could be used in other free software
products, e.g. in KOffice, Firefox etc. in the future.

I agree with your final conclusion. I'd like add that now - thanks to
the more liberal commit rules of LibreOffice - we can make sure, that
LibreOffice git always contains the latest versions of dictionaries.
