You have a two page document and you do not want anything you add to page one to move the position of the text on page two. Position the caret (text insertion point indicator) at the end of the text on page one, then select the menu "Insert -> Manual Break... -> Page break" option. Now if you add anything to page one which expands beyond it's capacity a new page will be automatically inserted between the two original pages.
