I don't think slicing and dicing helps. It doesn't matter what form an unauthorised copy takes on the wire, what matters is that an unauthorised copy ultimately ends up somewhere. I agree about *decentralised* P2P networks being the way forward. Napster still had a central identity to attack legally.
