The only problem I foresee is that a fair percentage of users on major
social networks don't have the skills to own and/or operate their own server
(or webhosting): I'm thinking the probably typical case of Your Grandmother
on Facebook. I didn't see any mention of it in my quick browsing, but is
there a plan to cater to that percentage by offering a more-centralized
option as well? Or is it an assumption that the people who don't possess
these digital skills aren't the ones who will care about privacy, etc.
enough to want to move away from the major social networks and use Diaspora?
