My question as well. I'd love to hear their rationale. This leaves a large gap in the market for anyone who wants to step up and provide book-making tools and resources for CC-SA materials -- ideally with good scripts to help authors make use of materials available via Wikimedia, Wikieducator, CNX and other SA-compatible sources.
