Like in years past, we're planning to make the second day of our 2011 conference (THIS FEB, 19-20th @ NYU!) an "unconference" where you, the attendees, put on brief presentations or organize chats. It can be about something you're working on, something you want to solicit other people to work on, or just a cool project or idea you've heard about. This is really the meat of the conference, where members of different chapters cross-pollinate and get excited about new and old projects.
I put up this piratepad so that people can throw around ideas for unconference sessions: http://piratepad.net/IdW7rBwwV4 Throw up things you want to present on or things you just think we should be having a conversation about. For now this is just to get the gears turning--we'll be hammering this out more formally later, and of course there will be room to throw up more stuff as late as the day of the unconference. There's even a plaintext karma system! Add an exclamation point to something if you think it rocks! Getting a head start on thinking about the unconference will help us use our time effectively on that day and will also help us try to organize our speakers for the first day so that they relate. -- http://www.madebyparker.com _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://freeculture.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss FAQ: http://wiki.freeculture.org/Fc-discuss
