Upvoted, petitioned and mentioned in a blog post. Great initiative, Rich! (Although what about other countries except for the US?)
One thing regarding "Increased Payment Options": You demand "a Web or Desktop based interface to the Market" isnt that what http://market.android.com is? I did not try it out because I run aforementioned Replicant on my device and it works great! On another related note there is FDroid, the Android market with only free software in it: http://f-droid.org/repository/ I know this is about the proprietary Android market but all you Androids should totally install it. Also, CitizenSpeak is added to the collection, thanks for the suggestion. Other newcomers include a Google Earth replacement: http://www.webglearth.com/ and a graphing tool: http://graph.tk/ > On a related note, it'd be cool to use something like this to promote > projects like Cyanogen Mod and Replicant (Android with free firmware!) > > http://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/fvh6g/replicant_android_with_free_firmware_shouldnt/ > > On Tue, Mar 1, 2011 at 21:05, Rich Jones <[email protected]> wrote: > >> pssssttt - and if you guys like upvoting: >> >> http://www.reddit.com/r/linux/duplicates/fvh75/7_demands_by_the_android_developers_union/ >> >> thanks! >> R >> >> On Tue, Mar 1, 2011 at 9:02 PM, Rich Jones <[email protected]> wrote: >> > Hello, FCers! >> > >> > I and many others have been fed up with Google because of their >> > lackluster support for the Android market. >> > In response, I am forming a Union of Android Developers.
