It's actually a huge thing in libertarian circles lately. They're realizing that copyrights and patents are inconsistent with libertarian principles, and to their credit, are adjusting their positions accordingly. You don't have to be a libertarian to grok their point (since I work on copyright reform stuff, I've been talking to a lot of them about it, and have even joined the advisory board of c4sif.org). mises.org and c4sif.org are both good resources, as is againstmonopoly.org.
