Hi Rob and all, I followed the FSF campaign to free the Ryzom project source-code, and the lack of effort to address the costs of *hosting* servers for that game in a way that preserves User Freedom.
I'm looking for a place to discuss and design a legal framework for helping Users share the hardware and swap the skills necessary to *host* Free Software so we can begin replacing Facebook, Gmail, AWS, etc. with "Free as in Freedom" versions that are under the full control of each User group. This is done through a business-model that helps groups of consumers co-own the means of production for the purpose of receiving that product at the real costs of production, and by treating profit as the payer's investment.
