Hey all, I just wanted to share with you a new project I'm working on through my organization NPeaches.
It's a travel webseries called *Ronaldo Tours.* *About the Webseries* Ronaldo Tours is a tongue and cheek docu-series that follows a pseudo-fictional character named Ronaldo who has left his home country of Italy. He has immersed himself in various cities to discover the Italian culture that resides in each place he visits. While, Ronaldo's focus is on Italian culture; realizing Italian culture's role in locations with diverse immigration patterns is also an important aspect. Season two will be based entirely in New York City. *About Season Two* The first season was a great experience. But it was a pretty straight forward travel series. We'd visit new cities and locations, interview proprietors and restauranteurs and gingerly add social commentary. This season will have a more focused intent by marrying the fun traveling and interviewing aspects with vital social commentary. Episodes will be less location based and more thematic based. We won't be just exploring Italian culture in NYC we will uncovering Italian culture in the context of race, class, gender, gentrification and cross cultural interaction. *On Free Culture, CC and More* NPeaches is a web based entertainment network. We are a small team of 5. We self produce and distribute webseries on a platform that we’ve created and maintain ourselves. Beyond that we are platform that uses our content as a public service for the benefit of free culture, social justice and artistic integrity. All of our content, including *Ronaldo Tours* is freely available to not only stream, but to download, remix, and re-distribute. Ronaldo Tours is licensed under the Creative Commons CC BY-NC-SA 3.0 license. But we want to go further than that. We really like the idea of open sourcing what we make. If this was software we'd release source code and media assets. Well since we are talking about video then we intend to release the assets that make up the show. For the benefit of education and research we're going to release shooting scripts, .fcp sessions, EDLs and more. For the benefit of making artists'/content creators' projects cheaper with readily available media, we are going to be releasing original raw and compiled content under a CC attribution license. We build a lot of b-roll per shoot, for example. We'll compile all the best b-roll as raw footage for a stock footage library we'll release for free via torrent under a CC attribution license. If we produce original music, we'll release multi-tracks. If we have original foley art we'll release a free sound library etc. *Kickstarter* We've just launched a kickstarter campaign to raise funds for season 2. Ronaldo Tours on Kickstarter<http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/npeaches/ronaldo-tours-a-travel-webseries>. Our minimum for this is $500. That's $450 for transportation for the three of us over the course of a 6 episode season. The remaining $50 is so we can literally go to a grocery store and get deli meat, hummus and bread for food for the three of us for one season. Our higher goal of $5000 means we can get a second camera, upgrade our rendering power for post-production and better mics. Any contributions or sharing this with a friend would be greatly appreciated. We've got some pretty amazing rewards including having Ronaldo portray YOU in a 1 minute Fellini-style short film.
