Oh that's odd and unfortunate - I remember I was late on sending my statement, but I thought it was sent a while ago! I'm attaching it below.
Is that fixable? Can we also check with Aditi, Katie and Peter to understand what happened on their side? STATEMENT: Dear members, my name is Camille François, I’m 23 years old. During the Fall 2012 semester I will begin my Masters’ Degree studies for Internet Governance at Columbia University, NY. I have been interested in Free Culture issues for six years now and I tackled those from different perspectives. I studied Internet Policy at school both in France (SciencesPo) and in the US (Princeton, NJ). I worked for organizations such as the Open Video Alliance, and worked for one year at Google in the Research team. I joined SFC after the 2009 conference, and I am very grateful for all I have learned through our movement, and also for the people I met, coming from across the whole world with different stories and perspective on Internet Policy (this diversity really struck me at our last conference – we’re very lucky for this). I founded the French chapter of SFC and our French team worked to the best of our abilities to make the Chapter live : for instance, we organized a Free Culture Festival (with conferences, a creative camp and a free culture party) to reach out to people who weren’t familiar yet with this debate. I have learned a lot from this, and I am very optimistic for the future of our organization, even though I recognize there is a lot to do. I want to dedicate my time at the Board of SFC to make it easier for our members to take advantage of the network we’re forming, to enhance communication between chapters and members (I’m dreaming of a Free Culture Journal) and to organize the system that would make it much easier to set up and to activate new chapters by taking advantage of all the work and ideas that flourished elsewhere in the organization.
