Hi All,

I'm still unsure about my diagnosis and fix of the problem I was
seeing with John's metadata plugin. His idea of modifying a core
jQuery function to allow for automated metadata extraction was pure
genius in my mind. It was also very instructive for me as a person
trying to gain more knowledge about the inner-workings of the library
to see how elegantly a core function can be extended. I'd just like to
know if I'm completely off base with my diagnosis of the problem. Is
the get() function supposed to always return a jQuery object? Is it a
bug in the plugin or in the original get function? Is it that I had
mis-matched the plugin with an older revision of jQuery? Am I
completely off about the internal requests returning a jQuery object
and an external one not? Or am I right? I'd just like some commentary
so that I can know whether I'm thinking about this stuff correctly or
not. I'm now highly dedicated to this library and am planning on
using it for all future projects. The jQuery documentation and John's
meta and debug plugins have all been extremely helpful. But this list
is definitely the best place to come for help and info. So any
direction you guys can give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Paul
