Sure Christof, this is the limitation. from solid to dotted is just not possible :)

I have not found a solution for this. I don't think there can be a solution to
that problem. What would you suggest as a transition from "border-style:
solid" to "border-style: dotted", or from "display: inline" to "display:
block"?
