I agree. I've been thinking of an elegant way to do this. Perhaps clone the "event link" element, update its innerHTML (as is done already when toggling between edit+save) to include cancel text/image and float it to the left of the save button? Maybe better yet would be to bind a cancel event the the Esc key, and notify the user of this binding by displaying a tooltip when they hover over the save link? Regardless...
