Hello, I posted this inquiry on the Thickbox forum:
http://codylindley.com/thickboxforum/comments.php?DiscussionID=405 So far noone has been able to solve or answer it and Alex I believe asked the question to the jQuery group. I'm running Mac OS 10.4.8 with FF 1.5.0.9. I've tried on both Mac and XPProSP2 with same version of FF. Alex tried with FF 2 on WinXP. We have an index.JSP page that has a link to invoke a TB that includes an iFrame loading another campaign_details.JSP. The detail JSP includes campaign_details.js and the first code block uses document.ready. In IE it works fine and calls the AJAX functions and populates the form correctly. In FF I have to right-click on the iframe and choose Frame -> Reload Frame and then the document.ready fires and populates the form (drop-down menu, field values and a list below). For nearly 2 weeks we've tried no-cache, different docType declarations, forcing a self.location.reload when TB_show was called and even forcing reload during onFocus even in the <body> tag of the iframe page. They are ugly workarounds that do not work. If anyone knows of this issue and can help I would appreciate it. Below is the diagnosis from Alex (pix on TB forum): ==== > hey mike, > > it's 1:30 am here, i'll soon have to crash. but beforehand: > > i'm on windows XP SP2, using FF2.0.0.1. > > on FF2.0.0.1, the bug you mentions is clearly there, but clicking on "update" > button solves the issues. I did it spontaneously, so your users might too. > but still, it does have to be solved... > > on IE7, the bug indeed does not happen, but, clicking on the "update" button > closes the thickbox, so if it does update or not, that's the question :) > > on IE6, the thickbox overlay appears, but not the iframe !! > > as to the validator, i use the built in one in the web developer extension > for firefox (i'm sure you know about it, but just in case: > http://chrispederick.com/work/webdeveloper/) > > > i suggest you subscribe to the mailing list and post the question yourself > (http://jquery.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss_jquery.com). I had no reply so > far, but i just sent a notice for the post on the thickbox forum, asking for > some help. Advocate your case there. They are usually very helpful: > I'll be following tommorrow, in any case let me know of your progress. > > good luck ! > > Alex ==== Again, many thanks for anyone who has any ideas and can help. Please see my forum post on TB site (link above) for a more detailed code description.
