Keep in mind that Sajax is a php/ajax framework gear only toward that
communication.  I used sajax for a while and, although it was great, it was
a little restrictive, IMO.

Jake mentions a good approach, but can be alittle advanced if you don't
understand the full concept of jquery, json and the new php 5 features
combined.  I would recommend that you take a look at the jquery api (
jquery.com/api) and check out the $.ajax function and look at all the
possible params and just test drive it a bit and come back to use with some
questions.  That is the approach that I took a while back and it made
learning it much quicker.

So, with out getting long winded, take a look at the $.ajax function in the
api and dataType param and the success param.
