Isn't it invalid Xhtml, not invalid html?
There has been a whole slew of expandos posts that say its basically fine
for most primitive uses.

However, check is a particularly wierd one because "checked" *is* a valid
one and this makes it confusing.

So you might need to put a value in your "check" expando.  Like
check="blank".  (Get it, -blank check-)
If needed you could always filter those out.

What is the case if you put like <input rel="" />  And search for rel.  In
this case, it is perfectly valid XHTML.
If it doesn't find it there, maybe it's a bug.  Because it should.
