The line, "CPUs which need to switch frequency at the same time: 0"
different for each cpu. The complete print out from cpufreq-info is below.

Using Supermicro PDSME+ motherboard with the latest bios version 1.2c.
Will check the bios setting again.

The /proc/cpuinfo also shows that the cpu is 600mhz. I would like to
correct this. Please advice what is needed to be done to correct this.

It is great to know that the max speed is 2.4ghz.

Thank you for the advice. Here is the full cpufreq-info and /proc/cpuinfo.

Will also check the bios again.

analyzing CPU 0:
   driver: acpi-cpufreq
CPUs which need to switch frequency at the same time: 0
   hardware limits: 600 MHz - 900 MHz
available frequency steps: 900 MHz, 600 MHz
   available cpufreq governors: ondemand, userspace
current policy: frequency should be within 600 MHz and 900 MHz.
The governor "ondemand" may decide which speed to use
