Hi Paul, you're right it is sometimes configurable using the monitor's own
controls although I think less often than not.
I presume that the monitor's sleep mode also probably doesn't benefit from
the smarter power management that an OS can do, such as leaving the monitor
turned on when you are watching a movie.
