I use multiseat workstations[1] - one PC with several video cards, mice, keyboards connected and multiple users working.
Currently (well, I used version 1.10), powertop does not show PIDs or UIDs associated with a given process, so it's not easy to tell which user consumes more energy (when different users run processes with the same name). Is such a feature planned in powertop (showing UIDs / PIDs somewhere next to the process)? If there is such a feature already, I didn't see a way to enable it. It would be also interesting to be able to "freeze" all processes (and possible, devices) associated with a given X server, for example when the screensaver fires up.
