I have a new actiontec wcb300n router. The problem I have with it is I cannot connect to its admin page via Linux. I did a factory reset, and now it is showing a local address of 192.168.99.254 In the past I used another actiontec and was able to access the admin page. Eliminating security, I disabled firewalld, booted into multi-user mode and used lynx [gaf@fedora ~]$ lynx 192.168.99.254
Looking up 192.168.99.254 first Looking up 192.168.99.254 Making HTTP connection to 192.168.99.254 Alert!: Unable to connect to remote host. lynx: Can't access startfile http://192.168.99.254/ Additionally, I booted into a Live Ubuntu. This time I was served a 10.0.0.0/24 address. But still had the same problem, cannot access the router's admin page. I switched the cable to the second port and not I get a 10. cable address I can use for zoom and jitsi meetings, but I still need to configure the router to change the wifi ssids. So, and suggestions before I return this to Amazon. -- -- Jerry Feldman <[email protected]> Boston Linux and Unix PGP key id: 6F6BB6E7 Key fingerprint: 0EDC 2FF5 53A6 8EED 84D1 3050 5715 B88D 6F6B B6E7 _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.blu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss
