Hello,
I am a bit confused about the flow control settings on the
ixgbe driver. I use a X520-DA2 with SFP+ copper twinax cable.
"dladm show-ether" reports
LINK PTYPE STATE AUTO SPEED-DUPLEX
PAUSE
ixgbe0 current up yes 10G-f bi
ixgbe1 current up yes 10G-f bi
and "dladm show-linkprop -p flowctrl" shows
LINK PROPERTY PERM VALUE DEFAULT POSSIBLE
ixgbe0 flowctrl rw no no no,tx,rx,bi
ixgbe1 flowctrl rw no no no,tx,rx,bi
The switch says flow control symmetric/active and after changing the
flow control settings with "dladm set-linkprop -p flowctrl=bi ixgbeX"
the switch still reports flow control is active, but the link is dead
and can not transfer packets.
Changing the settings in /kernel/drv/ixgbe.conf to
flow_control = 3;
seems to have no effect at all.
Who can explain this behavior?
Thanks.
