setup: Running oi 151_a9 on an 2x Xeon with xwHP8600 hardware The problem I'm running into is with the most recent version of SOL SSH it's not equiped to deal with the newest versions of OpenSSH.
Something to do with OpenSSH developers deciding to pull certain Kex algo out due to what they say are reasons of security. OI's latest version is Sun_SSH-1.5 What it means in practice is you get this kind of stuff when attempt sshing to hosts using OpenSSH versions like OpenSSH_6.7p1: | no common kex alg: client 'diffie-hellman-group-exchange-sha1,diffie-hellman-group1-sha1', server '[email protected],ecdh-sha2-nistp256,ecdh-sha2-nistp384,ecdh-sha2-nistp521,diffie-hellman-group-exchange-sha256,diffie-hellman-group14-sha1' `---- They can't find a Kex algo they both are prepared to work on. It can be fixed but the only way I see is to alter the Kex algos available on OpenSSH. I don't see a way on SOL SSH. I'm certainly no expert so would be happy to here I can make some setting my version of ssh.. So, anyway, when running into hosts on which I don't have root... of course then it `no soap'. However, I've heard there is an illumos version that for one reason or another does not have this problem. I tried a hipster OS and found its version readily worked against new version so OpenSSH. So cutting to the chase: Is there an illumos version of SSH that I could just plop the binary onto my OI host.. and away we go? If so, how would I go about getting it? ------------------------------------------- illumos-discuss Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/182180/=now RSS Feed: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/182180/21175430-2e6923be Modify Your Subscription: https://www.listbox.com/member/?member_id=21175430&id_secret=21175430-6a77cda4 Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
