Not quite sure who wants these, so I thought I would start here.

I have a production Open Indiana box that mainly acts as a windows file server
( inbuilt kernel cifs server, joined to AD domain). We have an excel file that
when opened, changed slightly, then saved would cause the openinidana server to
kernel panic and reboot. I have about 16 dump files if anyone is interested. It
looks to me like zfs is at fault.

More information.

The production server runs oi_148 but the backup server (was same hardware was
running oi_151a7 so I think the bug still persists). Unfortunately I had to
take the LSI card out of the backup server to replace a fail one in the
production server. The new LSI cards I bought did not want to work with
OpenInidana, so the backup server is now on linux.

Hello.
Both versions are very old. I'd advise you, first of all, try updating at least to oi_151a9 or even go to Hipster, as 151a9 is still lacks at least one year of updates.
