I fully understand that Solaris 11 and OpenIndiana are different and yes a comment has been made on the Oracle site. What is similar is that both systems fail in an apparently identical manner, i.e. during the early stage of the stage 2 loader. I will look at OmniOS. Oracle Solaris 11 and Illumos are two different things. Oracle closed things up. This is not the right list for Oracle Solaris. 2.) I'm not sure about OI, but that should mostly work. I'll let OI people be more specific. 3.) You can also try OmniOS (omnios.omniti.com), though I haven't played with it on Virtualbox in a while.
