If you look at what's left of Sun's hardware offerings, the Sun Ray thin 
clients are the only thing left for the desktop. To me, that says Oracle is 
only interested in the enterprise desktop but for that you still need a server 
on the back end running a usable UI & JDS has been a pretty reasonable one 
since it came out in 2003-4(?). And AFAIK, the Sun Ray line is all that's left 
in the thin X client market aside from ThinPATH (what's left of NCD).
