However we have not yet generated ISOs.
The most recent OI update does contain some acpica changes that might help: changeset: 13539:15b6c91053a3 user: Gordon Ross <[email protected]> date: Thu Dec 01 22:58:02 2011 -0500 description: 1621 update acpica code to newer version (Joyent OS-441) Reviewed by: Garrett D'Amore <[email protected]> Reviewed by: Dan McDonald <[email protected]> Reviewed by: Robert Mustacchi <[email protected]> Approved by: Garrett D'Amore <[email protected]> This code started from SmartOS, but had additional bits added by Gordon. I'm not sure if SmartOS took 'em back in time for the SmartOS ISO the original poster tried to boot. An OI-pre-stable ISO would help disambiguate things, but the OI guys have their hands full. One thing the original poster *could* do is get a disk installed with OI-pre-stable, then try to boot said disk on the HW in question.
