I have no Solaris 9 installation but I guess they are mentioned in nscd
and ldap_cachemgr manpages for 9 and earlier. And these mention SMF
services from Solaris 10.

It would be interesting to know which unbundled software it was - maybe
Sun Cluster. Because it is hard to imagine reliable software playing
with these 2 services :-)
