if you're looking for example code, some can be found in ilbadm.c (or

that way.

Hi all

Is there any mechanism like epoll or kqueue in illumos?
I have found an API known as "Event Completion Framework"
on Solaris 10.
But I can find any official documents about it from oracle site. It is a
little strange to me.
Anyone familiar with "Event Completion Framework" ?
Does there exit any better scalable I/O event notification mechanism for
illumos like epoll does for Linux.
I would appreciate for any reply?

Yes there is, it's called event ports. The manual pages here are a
pretty good starting point. You want port_get(3c), port_create(3c), and
port_associate(3c).

See http://illumos.org/man/3c/port_create,
http://illumos.org/man/3c/port_associate, and
http://illumos.org/man/3c/port_get, and of course related pages.

Thanks very much. Those are exactly what I am looking for.
