The main difference in our libraries between -Xc and -Xa (strict ANSI, and ANSI) are error codes for domain errors in the math libraries. It seemed to me that in light of that it was likely the case that anyone specifying a standard _at all_, wanted the behaviour of that standard, since we're not limiting the availability of any extensions or the like > 2) Should gcc-7 and gcc-6 link to /usr/lib/values-xpg6.o by default? No, that leaves us partially defaulting to xpg6 behaviour. > 3) Should g++ link to /usr/lib/values-xpg6.o when std=g++/c++X are defined? I don't know how the C++ and SUS standards interact, so "maybe"? ------------------------------------------ illumos: illumos-discuss Permalink: https://illumos.topicbox.com/groups/discuss/T143f32047bf3c2fe-Mca80ec071b862f639ee6956f Delivery options: https://illumos.topicbox.com/groups/discuss/subscription
