Please consider an SFTP server (via a NodeJS or Java app) that provides the
SFTP protocol, while performing NTLM authentication with AD as the user,
and accessing the files over the network as the user. These would be
individual connections for each use and therefore have to be over the
network to avoid doing AD checks yourself. At a client, we're doing
something similar (making a data store appear like an LDAP backend to
Keycloak using ldapjs, and at another client, we've got one server that
makes user-specific HTTP connections with NTLM headers).

You may have to use libraries like

A search for "nodejs sftp server" reveals quite a few libraries that you
could use.
