My understanding is that Illumos supports all versions of NFS. NFSv4 uses a
single fixed port (2049), but prior versions use a mix of fixed and unfixed
ports, where the fixed ports are (111/sunrpc, 2049/nfsd, and 4045/lockd) and
the unfixed ports have high port numbers (e.g., > 30000, for mountd, and
rquotad). For those of use that need to support NFSv3 clients:

1) is there anyway to configure the mountd/rquotad ports? …this is possible
on Linux, so figured I’d ask ;)

2) what is the port-range used? Assuming they can go all the way up to 65,535,
the question really regards the start of the range…does it, e.g., start at
16,3833 or 32,767?

Thanks,
Kent
