Hello Community.
In a couple of months I would like to build myself a new Rig and as I
will also want to do some gaming and non illumos things, I will need a
board that can handle Graphics card forwarding to a Windows Guest. from
experience I know that I will have to test Baords to find one that fits
my needs because IOMMU groups on the PCIe Bus are not always marked in
the specs and NVME also eats PCIe lanes.
If possible AMD but I am willing to go with Intel if thats still the
only supported option for Forwarding with bHyve (Or invest into
upstreaming porting the code for AMD)
I am also looking for around 128-256GB RAM so that I can dedicate it to
many open IDE Instances and Webbrowsers inside VM's or local.
NVMe M2 slots are optional.
Does somebody have a known forwarding setup and can make a
recomendation? IOMMU groups will be a pain to to look for as criteria.
