Sorry for rising this particular topic, but that seems to be my best option to
find somebody with experience in running Illumos-based OS on HP Z820.
I got one recently, as it's still a good option in my area. It works, I've
installed the latest SmartOS on it and I'm going to upgrade the hardware a bit,
but I'm a bit troubled, as `prtdiag` and related utilities return nothing:
> prtdiag: failed to open SMBIOS: System does not export an SMBIOS table
So, is it that I just didn't find the right BIOS settings combination (I've
tried some) or this particular chipset is *that* unsupported?
Any info or advice is highly appreciated.
