*Summary*
RDVO, one of Boston's leading user experience design firms, is looking for
an exceptional information architect/user experience specialist to join our
team. The ideal candidate will be a practical-minded perfectionist with the
ability to both create compelling concepts and work through complex details.
We are looking for an experienced practitioner who can handle a range of
project types – some of them simultaneously – from discovery to concept to
design to implementation.**

You should have extensive experience working in collaborative environments,
integrating user-centered design, technology, and traditional research
methods. You should enjoy working independently, taking initiative, and
innovating. It is a bonus if you have a demonstrated experience planning and
conducting sophisticated user research and analysis.


*Job Description:*

   - Design the information architecture and user interface for client
   projects, which include websites, software UI, devices, and other emerging
   platforms
   - Work in close collaboration with clients and internal teams to
   develop initial strategy – addressing product, brand, marketing, content,
   and overall user experience.
   - Manage user research efforts including contextual interviews and
   usability testing
   - Lead client workshops and meetings
   - Create internal and external deliverables including wireframes, site
   maps, interaction flows, storyboards, paper prototypes, content inventories,
   taxonomies, and detailed functional specifications
   - Develop new types of deliverables, workshops, or presentations as
   necessary
   - Collaborate with visual designers, technical developers, and project
   managers to generate superb design work and happy clients
   - Direct the work of junior information architects
   - Contribute to RDVO's positive internal atmosphere, quality of work,
   and growth into new fields or industries

*Requirements:
*

   - Minimum 3 years dedicated experience in information architecture,
   experience design strategy, or related field
   - Experience conducting user research, including contextual inquiry
   and usability testing
   - Superb writing and presentation skills
   - Familiarity with technical issues around web development and ability
   to work constructively with design and engineering teams
   - Great attitude and ability to handle change
   - Ability to work independently, prioritize, and solve problems
   proactively
   - Creativity and attention to detail
   - Demonstrated ability to manage clients, communicate persuasively,
   and resolve issues
   - Experience working in small collaborative teams
   - Ability to articulate business strategy and branding issues, and to
   balance these with user needs and technological constraints
   - An outstanding portfolio of detailed page schematics, functional
   specifications, interaction flows, site maps, navigation systems, and
   web-appropriate writing
