Thanks Katie, Fantastic overview on how to assess User Experience. I'm completely agree that qualitative methods are better than others. But in this case I would like to make a numeric comparison between several websites. That's the reason why my approach was closer to a numerical evaluation.
For single analysis your recommendations are more that useful. Taking users out of the lab is a good method, I usually get the best insight when users are relaxed, when we are walking out the door or waiting for the elevator, they use to give me the real impression, testing is a full time job you must be aware all the time you never know when a user is about to tell you the truth.
