CFP: HCII 2009 Session - An Exploration of HCI Methods and Approaches in
2009

You are cordially invited to consider submitting a paper and participating
in
the parallel session entitled 'An Exploration of HCI Methods and Approaches
in 2009'
that will be held in San Diego, CA, USA, 19-24 July 2009, in the context of
HCI International 2009 (http://www.hcii2009.org).


Session Theme:
-------------
We invite practitioners and academics who have experience with *new* HCI
approaches
and methods to submit an 800 word abstract (in any format) plus a short bio
by email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] by Friday, October 24, 2008.

Your abstract could describe *new* methods and approaches used in areas such
as
but not limited to:
* Information visualization
* Accessibility
* Voting
* Mobility
* Enterprise software
* Personal information management software

We are specially interested in both qualitative and quantitative data
analysis and comparison techniques used and lessons learned. In the
abstract, please report both the successes and failures of the approaches.


Participation involves:
-----------------------
1) Submitting a 800 word abstract.

2) If abstract is accepted, submitting a 10 page paper to be published in
the conference proceedings.

3) Presenting at the conference. You will have approx 20 minutes (about a 15
minute talk with 3-5 minutes of questions) to present your work.

Submit paper draft - 4 January 2009
Submit final draft - 1 February 2009
Submit camera ready paper - 16 February 2009

About HCII 2009
---------------
HCI International 2009 incorporates 11 Conferences / thematic areas,
expecting to attract over 2,300 participants from all over the world. The
program will feature pre-conference tutorials, an opening session with a
keynote address, more than 250 parallel sessions, poster presentations, and
an exhibition where the attendees have the opportunity to examine
state-of-the-art HCI technology and interact with representatives of
manufacturers, vendors, publishers, and potential employers. HCI
International 2009 promises to be an unforgettable cluster of high quality
international scientific events, and an ideal occasion to come to contact
with the rapidly evolving ICT market worldwide.

According to the Registration Regulation for HCI International 2009,
inclusion of papers in the Proceedings is conditional upon registration of
at least one author per paper by 16 February 2009. Individuals can appear as
co-authors in several papers in HCI International 2009 and the affiliated
conferences, but should present only one paper.

Kindly note that camera-ready papers should be ten (10) pages long and
submitted in both DOC and PDF format. Formatting guidelines will become
available through the Conference website at a later stage.

All the papers of invited sessions will be included in the conference
proceedings as refereed papers. The Conference Proceedings will be published
by Springer in a multi-volume set in the LNCS and LNAI series. For more
